Leydsdorp Ghost Town
Gravelotte, Limpopo
The remains of a gold-rush town founded in the late 1880s and named after ZAR state secretary W.J. Leyds. At its peak it had around 3,000 residents; today you can see the old hotel and the cemetery, where many miners who died of blackwater fever are buried.
