Vivo
Vivo is a tiny farming village on the R521 in Blouberg Local Municipality (Capricorn District), about 72 km west of Louis Trichardt (Makhado). It sits in the gap between the Soutpansberg and Blouberg ranges, south of the Brak River, with a post office, filling station and small convenience store; its economy rests on farming, game farming/conservation and mining.
History
The name is often linked to the Sepedi word 'phefo' (cold wind) blowing through the mountain gap. Vivo was known for a boarding school that took in farm children and pupils from as far as Johannesburg; it closed in the mid-1990s and later reopened as a primary and secondary school with a hostel.
Getting there

Weather & climate
Hot semi-arid bushveld: hot summers with thunderstorms (mainly November–March) and dry, mild-to-cool winters; cold winds funnel through the mountain gap.
